STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team are in fifth after day one of the WIAC Indoor Championships (presented by Culver's). The men have a score of 27 to be in fifth. The women have a score of 10.5 to be in eighth.

Results
 
The men are led by Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake), Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) and Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls).
 
Penzkover took second in the mile run with a time of 4:14.99.
 
Rennhack placed third in the shot put with a mark of 16.42 meters.
 
Murphy finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:41.64.
 
The distance medley relay team of Tyler Nosko (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka), Adam Zinn (Woodstock, Ill./North), Adam Eiden (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli Catholic) and Logan Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) finished fourth with a time of 10:20.41.
 
The women are led by the distance medley relay team of Hadley Reines (Marinette, Wis./Marinette), Jaimie Deschand (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac), Audrey Rabitz (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln) and Lindsay Jossie.
 
Reines, Deschand, Rabitz and Jossie took second in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:35.60.
 
Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.59 meters.
 
The UWSP men's and women's track and field teams return tomorrow (Mar. 1) for day two of the WIAC Indoor Championships, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
