NEW ORLEANS, La. – Eleven members of the UW-Stevens Point track and field teams and both the men's and women's teams were honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic selections, the organization announced this week.

The men's team had a cumulative GPA of 3.19 and seven members of the men's team were honored. Those athletes were
Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut),
Bennett Krause (Germantown, Wis./Germantown),
Jack Marsh (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski),
Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls),
Evan Paul (Medford, Wis./Medford) and
Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest).
UWSP's women had a team cumulative GPA of 3.51 and four athletes received accolades. Those athletes were
Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski),
Rachel Perry (Mantorville, Minn./RAACHE),
Melanie Princl (West Bend, Wis./West) and
Faith Wehrman (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower).
Teams qualified by having a cumulative 3.1 or higher GPA for all student-athletes that used a season of eligibility. An individual qualified by having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 and had to have been ranked in the top-50, top-35 for relays, in their event in the final performance lists or participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships.
