WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team competed in its third meet of the outdoor season at Whitewater and won 12 events at the Drake Alternative.
 
Results
 
Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) won both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles.  His times were 14.87 and 55.03, respectively.
 
Sam Welch (Manawa, Wis./Manawa) won the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 48.34.  Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) also PRed with a victorious time of 1:52.80 in the 800-meter run.
 
Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) won the discus throw and hammer throw.  Her tosses went 43.44 meters and 49.04 meters, respectively.
 
Leyna Herzog (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.47.  Ashley Spatz (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 58.39. Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay, Wis./Big Foot) took top honors in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.29.
 
Herzog, Spatz and Wellhausen teamed with Esme Reinders (Eau Claire, Wis./Regis) to win the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.77.
 
Elle Maculan (Rockford, Ill./Auburn) ran a personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.61, her third win of the event in as many races this season.
 
Paige Allemann (Waumandee,Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) knocked 30 seconds off her previous season-best time in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:13.48 to win the event.
 
UWSP will send athletes to Oshkosh on Thursday (April 29) and Platteville on Friday (April 30).
