LA CROSSE, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams competed in UW-La Crosse's Eagle Open on Friday afternoon, Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) and Ethan Vandermeer each earn second-place finishes to lead the Pointers.

Results

Jossie placed second in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:34.16.- Emma Groff (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) raced to a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.24. Makaela Malin (Monticello, Minn./St. Michael, Albertville) took fifth place in the steeplechase with a time of 11:23.66.

Vandermeer recorded a second-place finish in 5000-meter run with a time of 15:11.39. Jack Marsh (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) placed third in the hammer throw and fourth in the discus throw with marks of 58.55 meters and 50.42 meters, respectively. Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) took fifth in the shot put with a heave of 16.57 meters.

The Pointers are back in action on Monday (May 11) for the St. Norbert Last Chance Meet beginning at 5:00 p.m. in De Pere, Wis.
