APPLETON, Wis. – Senior
Calvin VanRyzin (Appleton, WI/Appleton North High School) and junior
Benjamin Jurenec (Mequon, WI/Homestead) each finished in the top-10 for the UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team at the Gene Davis Invitational in Appleton on Saturday. Both crossed the finish in the 8K race with times under 26:25.

The men finished third as a team in the nine-team field. The women's team finished fifth at the meet.
Freshmen
Erinn Olmsted (Green Bay, WI/East) and
Kiersten Williams (Berlin, WI/Berlin) were the top finishers for the Pointers. Olmsted placed 16th with a time of 25:13 in the 5K. Williams and fellow freshman
Amanda Cieslinski (West Allis, WI/Central) both posted times just under 26:30.
UWSP heads to Winneconne for the Oshkosh EAA Invite next Saturday (Oct. 15).
