STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point head cross country coach Thomas Bambach has announced his teams' schedule for the 2026 season.

The Pointers open the season at home with the annual Alumni Meet at Iverson Park on Sept. 5 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
 
UWSP will travel to Green Bay for the Phoenix Open on Sept. 12 before a three-week hiatus from competition.
 
Back-to-back out-of-state meets start the slate in October. The Pointers head to Minnesota for the Pre-Nationals meet hosted by Carleton on Oct. 2. Then UWSP goes to Illinois for the Inter-Regional Rumble on Oct. 16 with Augustana as the host.
 
The WIAC Championships will be hosted by UW-Whitewater on Oct. 31 to round out the month. NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships are both in Minnesota on Nov. 14 and 21 to close out the schedule.
 
The UWSP men's cross country team finished 18th at last year's NCAA Championships. UWSP's top finisher Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) along with team scorers Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), Sean Heetland (North Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) and Martin Kimmel (Deerfield, Wis./Deerfield) all return this fall. Brooklyn Hoff (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie), Meg McAfee (Shawnee, Kan./Mill Valley), Lauren Sadowski (Marinette, Wis./Marinette) and Makaela Malin (Monticello, Minn./St. Michael, Albertville) all return for the women and were team scorers at NCAA Regionals last season.
