WINNECONNE, Wis. – The No. 11 UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team finished fifth and the women came in sixth at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Lake Breeze Golf Course.

NOTABLES The men's fifth-place finish is the team's best since the Pointers finished fourth in 2012. UW-Stevens Point had finished sixth each of the past two seasons.
Pedersen's ninth-place finish marked his fourth top-10 performance of the season. Tyler's 12th-place showing was his best placing since the first meet of the season back on Sept. 12.
Outside of Winberg's 26th-place finish, the women's next four runners crossed the line within 27 seconds of each other and just five places apart.
Jedidiah Dodge (Durand, WI/Durand ) and Winberg were UW-Stevens Point's selections for the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
