DES MOINES, Iowa - Competing against teams from across the nation, the UW-Stevens Point men's outdoor track and field team had two relays take seventh at the 2014 Drake Relays this weekend at Drake Stadium.
ResultsIn the men's 4x100 meter shuttle hurdle, the relay of
Matt Gerber (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk),
Takuto Kobayashi (Franklin, WI/Franklin),
Matt Sosinsky (Princeton, WI/Princeton) and
Michael Evans (Reedsville, WI/Valders) placed seventh in a time of 3:26.76.
Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Belleville),
Brian Ironmonger (Oregon, WI/Oregon),
Ryan Wierzba (Rosholt, WI/Rosholt) and
Calvin VanRyzin (Appleton, WI/North) finished seventh in the distance medley, completing the event in 10:09.85.
UW-Stevens Point competes at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships on May 2-3 in Oshkosh.
