STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Alexander Gonzales and David Hebert (Iron River, MI/West Iron County) finished as the top two Division III runners in the 5,000-meter run as the men's track and field team competed at the Platteville Invitational on Saturday, April 12.

Results

Wisconsin's unattached Ryan Kromer was the lone runner to finish the 5,000-meter run ahead of juniors Gonzales (15:36.22) and Hebert (15:42.93).

The Pointers also had a pair of third-place finishers, as Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Belleville) took third in the 1,500-meter run (4:05.2) and Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown) placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 13.96 meters (45' 9.75").

Micky Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) posted a fourth-place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 47.69 meters (156' 5").

No team scores were kept at the meet.

The next meet for UW-Stevens Point is the Augustana Multi & Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19 in Rock Island, Ill.
