STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track and field team recorded three second-place event finishes and took fourth of 16 teams at the Eastbay/Pointer Invite on Saturday at the Multi-Activity Center.

Results

The Pointers accumulated 88 points, six fewer than third-place UW-Eau Claire. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 115.33 points, followed by UW-La Crosse with 108.

Matt Gerber (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk) took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.31 seconds.

Tanner Russell (Farmer City, IL/Farmer City) finished second in the high jump with a height of 2.01 meters (6' 7").

In the long jump, Jordan Richards (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) was second, jumping 6.67 meters (21', 10 ¾").

UW-Stevens Point competes at the WIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend.
