KENOSHA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track and field team picked up four event titles on its way to a second place finish at the 2014 Tadd Metzger Invite, hosted by Carthage College at the Tarble Athletics Center.

Highlights from the day included:
Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) picked up the win in the 600-meter run, posting a time of 1:22.88 and earning 10 team points.
Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Belleville) and
Ryan Wierzba (Rosholt, WI/Rosholt) finished 1-2 in the 800-meter run, posting times of 1:56.69 and 1:57.02, respectively.
Michael Evans (Reedsville, WI/Valders) and
Justin Kreuser (Kenosha, WI/Bradford) finished 1-2 in the 1,000-meter run with times of 2:33.16 and 2:34.84, respectively.
The Pointers continued their dominance in the distance events as
Alexander Gonzales (West Allis, WI/West Allis Central) posted a victory in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 8:49.21.
In the 55-meter hurdles,
Nicholas Geiger (Mayville, WI/Mayville) posted the top time in the prelims but was narrowly edged in the finals, finishing in a time of 7.98.
The Pointers return home to host the Point Multi Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7-8 at the Multi-Activity Center.
