ETTRICK, Wis. – Michael Evans (Reedsville, WI/Valders) finished 16th and the UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team was sixth at the 2014 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships held on Saturday afternoon at Ettrick Golf Club.

Results

Evans was the top individual finisher for UW-Stevens Point with a time of 25:30.20. Neil Pedersen (Clarndon Hills, IL/Hinsdale Central) (25:42.0) and Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Verona) (25:46.50) also finished in the top 30, coming in 25th and 29th, respectively.

Lukas Johnston finished 41st with a time of 26:07.10 and Dane Tyler (Janesville, WI/Parker) was 43rd in 26:08.80.

The Pointers came in sixth as a team with 142 points, behind UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stout. UWSP was 18 points behind UW-Stout and 49 points ahead of UW-Whitewater.

UW-Stevens Point will run at the NCAA Regionals in Winneconne on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.
