EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team placed second at the UW-Eau Claire Tri Meet Saturday while the UWSP men placed third.
Results
Hannah School (Wittenburg, WI/Wittenburg-Birnamwood) finished third in the women's 55-meter dash with a time of 7.61.
School also placed second in the 200 meter dash by finishing with a time of 27.34.
Jasmine finished in second place in the women's 400 meter run with a time of 1:00.07
Kristin Mathes (Kiel, WI/Kiel) and
Nicole Hanson (Clintonville, WI/Clintonville) placed second and third respectively in the women's 800 meter run. Mathes finished at 2:20.15 and Hanson finished with a time of 2:21.81.
In the women's high jump
Samantha Haas (Waupun, WI/Waupun) placed second by clearing 1.49 meters.
Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton) won the women's pole vault by clearing 3.20 meters.
On the men's side,
Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) and
Scott Berry (Rudolph, WI/Lincoln) finished first and second respectively in the 800 meter run. Sullivan finished with a time of 1:53.40 and Berry 1:57.58.
Justin Hermshort won pole vault competition by clearing 4.45 meters.
Brian Thill (Webster, WI/Webster) (6.36 meters),
Jordan Richards (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) (6.32) and
Jeremy King (Hatley, WI/D.C. Everest Senior) (6.29) finished second, third and fourth respectively in the long jump.
Both the men's and women's track and field teams compete next at the Tad Metger Invite in Kenosha, Wis. on Saturday, Jan. 26.
