WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team finished third at the UW-Whitewater Triangular on Friday night, finishing with an overall score of 147.
 
Nick Krull (Marshall, WI/Marshall) placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 12.85 meters and third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 while Zachary Mixdorf (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) finished third in the high jump with a jump of 1.99 meters.
 
Nick Michalske (Wausau, WI/Newman Catholic) took third in the pole vault with a vault of 4.30 meters while Scott Berry (Rudolph, WI/Lincoln) and Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Belleville) finished first and second in the mile, clocking times of 4:20.35 and 4:20.61, respectively.
 
The 4x200-meter relay team consisting of Andrew Peterson (Columbus, WI/Columbus), Daniel Ostroski, Brian Ironmonger (Oregon, WI/Oregon) and Zach Yindra (Appleton, WI/Kimberly) placed second with a time of 1:35.31.
 
Babatunde Awosika (Milwaukee, WI/Milwaukee School of Arts) took first in the 200-meter run with a time of 22.38 and also finished second in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.09.
 
In the 800-meter run, Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) finished first while Logan Seipel (Colfax, WI/Colfax) took third, finishing in 1:53.90 and 1:58.12, respectively.
 
 
UWSP returns home for the Pointer/Eastbay Invitational Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Multi-Activity Center at 10:30 a.m.
