DELAWARE, Ohio – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track & field teams closed out the 2011 season on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
The men finished tied for 14th place with 16 team points while the women's team finished in 45
th place with five team points.

Freshman Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) finished as runner-up in the men's 1500 meter run, posting a time of 3:54.38, earning All-American honors and earning eight team points.
On the final day of action, the men's 4x400 meter relay team of Tom Wenzler (Delafield/Kettle Moraine), Babatunde Awosika (Milwaukee, WI /Mil. School of Arts), David Litsheim (Appleton/East) and Joshua Schwinn (Howards Grove/Howards Grove) finished fifth in the event finals, posting a time of 3:13.06 as the quartet earned All-American status.
David Litsheim (Appleton/East) earned All-American honors as an individual as well, placing fifth in the men's 800 meter run with a time of 1:52.72.
On the women's side, Erin Kline (Casco, WI/Luxemburg-Casco) finished tied for 14th in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.62 meters (5'3.75”)
Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) earned All-American status with a fourth place finish in the 1500 meter run, posting a time of 4:25.12, one of four runners to break the stadium record. Roberts also finished 17th in the 5000 meter run, posting a time of 18:15.73.
