Men in 11th after Day Two of NCAA Track Championships

BEREA, Ohio - The Pointers have accumulated eight team points thanks to Kyle Scofield (Green Bay/Preble)'s second place finish in the shot and stand in 11th place after day two of the three day 2010 NCAA Division III Track & Field nationals, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace.

Scofield finished second in the finals of the men's shot put with his throw of 57- ¾ (17.39m), earning All-American honors and eight team points.

Adam Lang (Sheboygan/Sheboygan Lutheran) qualified for the finals in the 800 meter run, posting a time of 1:52.11 in the first heat of the preliminaries. He will run in the event finals on Saturday for a shot at a national title.

Also in the 800 meter run, David Litsheim (Appleton/East) ran a 1:53.33, just over a second off the qualifying pace for the finals.

Jerry Prusinski (Rib Lake/Rib Lake) posted a throw of 183-2 (55.84m) in the hammer throw, falling just short of the distance needed to qualify for the event finals.
