Men Finish Eighth at Indoor Championships

Day Two Results

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track and field team finished in eighth with a team total of 17.5 points at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

UW-La Crosse and UW-Oshkosh finished tied for the men's indoor title, both finishing with 32.0 points.

Individually, Keith Ingram (Milwaukee, Riverside University) posted a fourth place finish in the men's 55-meter dash finals with a time of 6.37. Kyle Scofield (Green Bay, Preble) finished in sixth in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.06m.

Elsewhere, Mike Dellemann (Oregon) finishes seventh in the men's pentathlon, posting a total of 3507 points, including a third place finish in the 55-meter hurdles, fourth place finish in the shot put and a sixth place finish in the long jump.

Rounding out the finals for the Pointers was Mark Cufaude (Evansville), who finished tied for third in the pole vault, clearing 4.92 meters.

The Pointers get back to action on March 28, when they kick off the outdoor season at Washington University in St. Louis.
