Day One Results
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team finished with two team points, tied for 19th after day one at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. On the women's side,
Kathleen Folbrecht (Jefferson) qualified for the finals on Saturday in the 400-meter dash.
Keith Ingram (Milwaukee, Riverside University) qualified for the 55-meter dash with the second-fastest time in the event, a 6.37. Finals in the event will be run Saturday.
Greg Haak (Belleville) failed to qualify for the finals in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 1:58.07
Jerry Prusinski (Rib Lake) finished seventh in the men's weight throw with a toss of 17.02m.
On the women's side,
Elizabeth Caine (Plover, SPASH) just missed the cut for the finals in the women's 55-meter dash, finishing with a time of 7.25. Folbrecht posted a time of 57.52 in the 400-meter dash, qualifying for the finals on Saturday.
