STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team won the Big Dawg Invite. The men finished with a score of 194.5. The women finished third with a score of 130.5.

The UWSP men were led by first-place finishes from Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus), Tyler Nosko (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka), Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville), Gavin Fujino (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake) and Nick Tuchsherer.
 
Rennhack heaved a new school record of 17.11 meters in the shot put to take first. He also won the weight throw with a mark of 17.45 meters.
 
Nosko took the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.60.
 
Murphy finished first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:26.08.
 
Ploederl posted a mark of 2.01 meters to take first in the high jump.
 
Fujino cleared the bar with a mark of 4.44 meters to win the pole vault.
 
Tuchsherer made a jump of 6.77 meters to take the long jump.
 
The UWSP women were led by first-place finishes from Malina Carattini (Mosinee, Wis/Mosinee), Melanie Princl (West Bend, Wis./West) and the relay team of Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski), Ashlee Lord (La Grange, Ill./LaSalle-Peru), Margaret Hopkins (South Bend, Ind./Saint Joseph) and Grace Nesvacil (Ashwaubenon, Wis/Ashwaubenon).
 
Carattini raced to a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.21.
 
Princl won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.21.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team posted a first-place finish with a time of 4:24.35.
 
The UWSP track and field teams are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 18) at Whitewater for the Midwest Elite meet, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
