PLATTVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams finished third at the WIAC Triangular. The men finished with a score of 70.5. The women finished with a score of 52.5.
 
Results
 
The men were led by first-place finishes from Jack Gjovik (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines), Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West), Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) and Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville).
 
Gjovik won the long jump with a jump of 6.57 meters.
 
Mead took the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.69.
 
Penzkover finished with a time of 4:16.72 in the mile run to take first.
 
Ploederl rounded out the men's first-place finishes in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters.
 
The women were led Adyn Theriault (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson), Audrey Rabitz (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln) and Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski).
 
Theriault took the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99.
 
Rabitz posted a second-place finish in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:42.64.
 
Jossie finished second in the mile run with a time of 5:14.74.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of Rachel Perry (Mantorville, Minn./RAACHE), Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah), Elida Nerothin (Madison, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) and Maria Cannon (West Salem, Wis./West Salem) finished in second with a time of 4:21.57.
 
The UWSP track and field teams are back in action on Friday (Jan. 31) at the Whitewater Multi starting at 1:00 p.m. The men will compete the Leonard "Squig" Converse Invite at 5:00 p.m.
