NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team placed fourth in the 31-team field at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday. UWSP's women were 14th.

Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) again paced the Pointers coming in 15th among the 220 finishers. His time of 24:56.9 was a mere 36 seconds behind the leader.
Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut) was 25th with a time of 25:09.1.
Ryan Rininger (Wauconda, Ill/Wauconda) took 34th and
Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) was 39th with times of 25:17.1 and 25:19.6, respectively.
Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) rounded out the scoring at 45th with a time of 25:28.6.
On the women's side,
Brooklyn Hoff (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie) was the top finisher in 45th. Her time was 23:20.5.
Natalie Johnson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Judith Meister (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) and
Isabelle Molitor (South Beloit, Ill./Hononegah Community) all finished in the top-100 of the 222 finishers.
The men's team will find out on Sunday (Nov. 17) if they are indeed headed to the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 23.
