NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Both the UW-Stevens Point men's and women's cross country teams posted top-7 finishes at The Running of the Cows on Saturday.

Led by
Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), the men finished third in the 21-team field. Murphy crossed the finish line in fifth with a time of 25:00.50.
Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut) was the second Pointer across the line in 16th place with a time of 25:37.90.
Ryan Rininger (Wauconda, Ill/Wauconda) posted a time of 25:50.00 to finish 26th.
Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) and Joe McNulty rounded out the team scoring in 31st and 35th, respectively.
Rachel Krouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) again paced the women's team that took seventh among the 22 teams. Krouse was 12th individually with a time of 22:49.50.
Natalie Johnson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) took 46th with a time of 23:49.60.
Brooklyn Hoff (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie),
Makaela Malin (Monticello, Minn./St. Michael, Albertville) and
Judith Meister (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) closed out the team scoring.
The Pointers head to the Gene Davis Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 12) in Appleton beginning at 11:00 a.m.
