STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point softball schedule for the 2024 season has been announced by head coach Ryan Konitzer. The Pointers will play 12 games at home as part of six doubleheaders at McCarty Memorial Field.

The Pointers begin the season on Feb. 22 at the Blue Angel Invite in Peoria, Ill. UWSP will play two games on Feb. 22 and two more on Feb. 23. Opponents and start times will be announced at a later date.
 
UWSP will face Wisconsin Lutheran in a doubleheader at the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander on March 1. A week later, the Pointers head to the Millikin Invite for four games. 
 
The season opening road swing concludes with eight games in Clermont, Fla., as part of the annual Spring Break Trip to The Spring Games. UWSP's opponents and start times are expected to be finalized in January.
 
The home opener is scheduled for March 30 against St. Scholastica. The doubleheader is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start. UWSP will play a twin bill at Rockford before returning home to take on St. Norbert on April 9 in a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader.
 
The conference opener for the Pointers is at UW-Eau Claire on April 13. UWSP will then play back-to-back home twin bills versus UW-Platteville (April 17) and UW-La Crosse (April 20), both beginning at 2:00 p.m.
 
UWSP will also be home against UW-River Falls on April 27 at 2:00 p.m. The regular season concludes at home versus UW-Stout on May 3 for a 3:00 p.m. start.
 
Last season, the Pointers went 28-13, the most wins since 2007. UWSP reached the WIAC Tournament title game for the first time since 2001 taking the eventual champs to extra innings. Three All-WIAC selections from last season – Jesse Klicker (Spring Grove, Ill/Richmond-Burton Community), Sara Traxel (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) and Ashley Zygowski (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) – return for the Pointers in 2024.
