GREEN LAKE, Wis. -- The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams travelled to Ripon to compete in the Red Hawk Open. The men finished with the victory and the women took second.

Zach Brandenburg (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) led the way for the men as he finished first overall with a time of 26:50.29.
Ryan Rininger (Wauconda, Ill/Wauconda) (second place),
Carl-Oskar Wilcox-Borg (Tomah, Wis./Tomah) (third place) and
Adam Eiden (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli Catholic) (fourth place) followed directly behind him with respective times of 27:07.34, 27:21.63 and 27:25.76.
Lucas Stokes (Shelbyville, Wis./Shelbyville) also finished seventh, clocking a time of 27:38.47 to round out the Pointers scoring competitors.
For the women,
Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) headed the UWSP runners as she finished fourth with a time of 25:34.56.
Madison Juenger (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) and
Olivia Franklin (Sugar Grove Ill./Kaneland) followed behind Bartelt in seventh and eighth place with times of 25:53.90 and 25:57.65, respectively.
Kassia Marquardt (Sauk Prairie, Wis./Sauk Prairie) placed 14th with a time of 26:21.28. Rounding out the Pointers runners was
Jaimie Deschand (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) who clocked a time of 28:04.73.
