COLFAX, Wis. -- The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams travelled to Eau Claire to compete in the NCAA North Regional. The men finished eighth while the women took 15th.

Rachel Krouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) headed the Pointers runners, pacing her way to a fifth-place finish with a personal-best time of 21:39.7.
Gabri Gaines (Madison, Wis./Memorial) followed up Krouse finishing 85th with a time of 23:57.1. Sophomore
Hadley Reines (Marinette, Wis./Marinette) finished just behind Gaines with a time of 24:11.0.
Natalie Johnson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) finished 104th with a time of 24:19.8. Rounding out the Pointers runners was
Judith Meister (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) who clocked a time of 24:48.9 to finish 123rd.

For the men,
Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) and
Joseph McNulty (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) were the top finishing freshmen with back-to-back placements. Murphy clocked a time of 25:19.5 to finish 39th while McNulty finished with a time of 25:20.7 to finish 40th.
Aidan Schleutermann (Woodstock, Ill./Woodstock) took 50th with a time of 25:28.3.
Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut) followed quickly behind as he placed 53rd with a time of 25:31.2. Rounding out the UWSP runners was
Kyle Pflug (Paddock Lake, Wis./Westosha Central) who finished 56th with a time of 25:31.9.

Krouse will likely be selected as an NCAA Championships participant when the field is announced on Sunday (Nov. 12).
