WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams travelled to Whitewater for Saturday's Tom Hoffman Invite.
Rachel Krouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) won the women's race pacing the UWSP women's team to a first-place finish in the six-team field. The UWSP men took second with
Logan Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) finishing fourth overall.

Krouse won the individual title for the women edging out the second-place finisher by just over a second. Krouse's winning time was 23:27.1
Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay,Wis./Big Foot) finished seventh with a time of 24:02.2.
Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) came in 10th with
Olivia Greymont (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) and
Katie Schaefer (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) closing out the team scoring with 12th and 13th-place overall finishes. All three finished under 25:13.0.
Lutz led the UWSP men with a time of 26:57.7 to take fourth overall. Freshman
Josh Wilson (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) clocked in at 27:31.0 to finish ninth.
Following Wilson, UWSP runners alternated with UWW runners.
Dylan Jensen (McHenry, Ill./East) took 11th at 27:36.2.
Kyle Pflug (Paddock Lake, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Ryan Reed (Madison, Wis./West) took 13th and 15th, respectively, both finishing under 28 minutes.
UWSP is back in action on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Blugold Invite. Race time is set for 4:15 p.m. that day.
