The UW-Stevens Point football team had three players named to the College Sports Communicators (former CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday (Nov. 22). Wayde Ernstmeyer (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area), Michael Kubicki (Marshall, Wis./Marshall) and Nick Retterath (Medford, Wis./Medford Area) received honors.

Ernstmeyer lands his first academic all-district award. Ernstmeyer played in all 10 games for the Pointers this season recording 50 total tackles, 26 of them being solo tackles this season. He ended the season with the third most tackles on the team.

Kubicki picked up his first academic all-district award. Kubicki played in all 10 games for the Pointers this season.

Retterath also lands his first academic all-district award. Retterarth was named to the All-WIAC first team offense. Last year, he was named to the All-WIAC honorable mention team. Retterath played in all 10 games for the Pointers this season.
