WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team got five event win from the women on Friday at the Rex Foster Invite.  No team scores were calculated.
 
Results
 
Paige Allemann (Waumandee,Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) was victorious in the first 3000-meter steeplechase of the season.  She clocked in at 11:43.66.
 
Briana Simonis (Rosholt, Wis./Rosholt) recorded her second event win in as many weeks.  This time, she won the high jump with a height of 1.62 meters (5' 3.75").
 
Esme Reinders (Eau Claire, Wis./Regis) took first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.15.  Elle Maculan (Rockford, Ill./Auburn) won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.70.
 
Sylviann Momont (Auburndale, Wis./Auburndale) won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.96.
 
Leyna Herzog (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), Brianna Bralich (West Bend,Wis./West), Abby Nelson (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern), and Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) registered runner-up finishes.
 
For the men, six different athletes posted second-place finishes.  Alex Poncelet (Hastings, Minn./Hastings) in the hammer throw, Nick Chesterman (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) in the javelin, Mike Ayensu-Mensah (Appleton, Wis./North) in the high jump, Sam Welch (Manawa, Wis./Manawa) in the 400-meter dash, Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) in the 800-meter run and Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) in the 400-meter hurdles all took second.
 
UWSP will be in action next on April 10 at the Platteville Invite.  Events are slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
