PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team continued to post strong performances despite a rainy track at the Platteville Invite on Saturday.  No team scores were calculated.
 
Men's Results | Women's Results
 
Elle Maculan (Rockford, Ill./Auburn) won the 400-meter hurdles for the second-straight meet.  She improved her winning time to 1:04.46.
 
Katie Schaefer (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) took top honors in the 5000-meter run.  She clocked in at 18:55.03, more than 10 seconds ahead of second place.
 
Six other women posted second-place finishes.
 
Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) earned the lone event win for the UWSP men.  He reached a distance of 14.98 meters (49' 1.75") to win the triple jump, over a meter further than the runner-up.
 
Five other men took second place in their event.
 
UWSP will send athletes to La Crosse and Whitewater for events on Friday (April 16).
