STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point track and field had four athletes compete in day two action at the WIAC Multis on Thursday.

Nick Baumgartner (Kewaunee, Wis./Kewaunee) and Nick Chesterman (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) completed the final events of the heptathlon.  Chesterman finished with a score of 4808, good for fifth.  He won the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:53.62.
 
Baumgartner placed ninth with a score of 4488.  He took third in the pole vault clearing a height of 4.25 meters (13' 11.25").
 
Paige Allemann (Waumandee,Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) and Catie Gage (Janesville, Wis./Parker) ran the 5000-meter run for the Pointers women.  Allemann placed 12th with a time of 18:52.28 and Gage came in 13th with a time of 18:55.47.
 
The Pointers host UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Feb. 27) at 12:00 p.m. in the final home meet of the season.
