INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Freshman
Rachel Krouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) has been named a women's individual qualifier for Saturday's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, it was announced on Sunday (Nov. 14). She becomes the first UW-Stevens Point women's runner to qualify since Bailey Wolf ran at the NCAA Championships in 2017.

Krouse has been UWSP's top finisher in each event she ran this season, including three top-10 finishes. On Saturday, Krouse crossed the line in seventh at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a season-best time of 22:23.3. At the WIAC Championships on Oct. 30, she took fourth.
In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that was held this weekend. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
Krouse will run in the women's 6K at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday (Nov. 20) at noon Eastern.
