WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team was victorious at the Warhawk Open on Friday. The top five finishers for the Pointers crossed the finish line in the top 10. The men's team finished in second with the top five finishers crossing the line in the top 20.
Results
Crossing the finish line in first, out of all participants was
Olivia Greymont (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) with a time of 24:42.5. In second place was
Taylor Fuerstenberg (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) with a time of 24:48.7. Finishing right behind was
Vanessa Olson (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) with a time of 25:05.6. Rounding out the top five finishers in fourth and sixth place was
Emma Guenther (Monroe, Wis./Albany) with a time of 25:12.3 and
Olivia Franklin (Kaneland) with a time of 25:45.0.
For the men's team,
John Lee (Madison, Wis./Madison West) finished the race third overall with a time 27:17.2. The next Pointer was
Maverick Lange (Oswego, Ill./East) in 10th place with a time of 27:53.5. Right behind Lange in 12th place was Josh Tarnowski with a time of 27:54.5. Next was
Garrett Exo (Baraboo, Wis. /Baraboo) and
Ethan Cruz (Appleton, Wis./Appleton) in 15th and 19th place with times of 27:57.5 and 28:06.2.
