COLFAX, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams held their own at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational in Colfax, Wis. The UWSP women's team placed sixth out of 27 teams. The UWSP men's team placed ninth out of 27 teams.

The first Pointer runner to cross the finish line for the women's team was freshman
Rachel Krouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West). She placed 13
th with a time of 23:07.89.
Catie Gage (Janesville, Wis./Parker) was the next Pointer to cross the finish line with the time of 23:31.98. She placed 22
nd followed by junior
Katie Schaefer (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) in 38
th place with a time of 23:45.41. Junior

Michael Kluz (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) was the first runner to cross for the men's team. He placed 18
th with a time of 25:44.16. Freshman
Nolan Richey (Kimberly, Wis. /Kimberly), who placed 30
th with a time of 26:11.22, was the next Pointer runner to cross the line.

The UWSP Pointer cross country team will be back at it again at the Gene Davis Invite in Appleton, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 9 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
