INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams are set for seven individuals and a relay team to head to this week's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. Five men, plus a relay team, and two women will represent the Pointers.

For the men,
Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) is the highest seeded participant for UWSP. He had the third-best triple jump in the country at 15.04 meters, a mark he set at the UWO Titan Challenge on Feb. 22.
Blake Orr (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) is seeded 12th in the weight throw with a distance of 18.22 meters. He set that mark at the Carthage Final Qualifier on Friday.
UWSP's 4x400-meter relay team of
Evan Torgerson (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest),
Matt Cieslak (Wilmot, Wis./Wilmot),
Calden Wojt (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) and
Sam Welch (Manawa, Wis./Manawa) is seeded 12th with a time of 3:19.25. The quartet clocked that time on Saturday at the Wartburg Qualifier.
Welch had a time of 49.45 in the 400-meter dash, good for a 15th seed. He ran that qualifying time at the WIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 28.
Freshman
Mike Ayensu-Mensah (Appleton, Wis./North) is seeded 16th in the high jump after clearing a qualifying height of 2.06 meters at the WIAC Championships.
Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) is 20th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.21. He also had his qualifying time at the WIAC Championship on Feb. 29.
For the women,
Briana Simonis (Rosholt, Wis./Rosholt) is seeded 13th with a height of 1.68 meters in the high jump. She cleared the bar at that height at the WIAC Championships.
Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) is also seeded 13th in the shot put with a mark of 13.83 meters. Her qualifying distance was reached at the WIAC Championships.
The NCAA Championships will be held at the JDL Fast Track on Winston-Salem on Friday (March 13) and Saturday (March 14).
