BROWN DEER, Wis.- The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming and diving team won its 21st-consecutive WIAC Championship today by a 964-802 margin over second-place UW-Eau Claire. The women's team finished in fourth with 559 points.

Alex Jeffers won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.52.
Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis./Middleton) and
Ryan McPherson (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Tartan) took first and second place in the 200-yard butterfly. Aegerter finished with a time of 1:49.07, besting his own WIAC meet record, and McPherson finished with a time of 1:51.67.
The relay team of
Payton Kilian (Coon Rapids, Minn./Spring Lake Park), Jake Larsen, Aegerter and
Sam Young (Verona, Wis./Middleton) won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:02.77.
Kilian finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.45.
Young placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:03.79.
On the women's side,
Anna Pilecky (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:07.18, breaking her own WIAC meet record and winning the event by 36 seconds.
Kaylee Benson (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.99.
Maggie Liska (North St. Paul, Minn./Mahtomedi) finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.74.
Libby Dammen (Milton, Wis./Milton) places fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:16.44.
UWSP will await the announcement of the qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Championships.
