STEVENS POINT, WIS.- The UW-Stevens Point cross country team won both the men's and the women's team scores at the Titans Fall Classic in Winneconne, Wis. on Friday.

The women's team finished first overall out of five teams with a score of 28. The women finishing in the top 10 were
Georgia Harrison (West Bend, Wis./East) in second place with a time of 23:59.0. Closely followed by freshman
Catie Gage (Janesville, Wis./Parker) in third earning a time of 24:24.0, senior
Michelle Petkovsek (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) in fourth finishing in 24:24.4 and, in eighth,
Paige Allemann (Waumandee,Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) with a time of 24:47.9.
The men's team also placed first overall out of five teams with a score of 32. The men that placed in top 10 for the Pointers include seniors
Alex Egbert (Sparta, Wis./Aquinas) in fourth with a time of 26:23.3,
Matt Stelmasek (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) in fifth with a time of 26.23.4 and, in sixth,
Robert Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) finishing in 26:35.6. Not far behind was junior
Axel Treinen (Wausau, Wis./East) in ninth place earning a time of 27:04.4 to round out the top ten.
The UWSP cross country teams compete next Saturday (Sept. 28) at the Pioneer Invite in Cuba City, Wis. at 10:30 a.m.
