WINNECONNE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams completed the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday with the men placing 10th and the women 11th at the Lake Breeze Golf Course.

Matt Stelmasek (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) paced the Pointers with a time of 25:22.0, good for 21st.  Bobby Lutz and Axel Treinen (Wausau, Wis./East) each placed in the top-50 with times of 25:57.0 and 25:59.7, respectively.
 
Alex Egbert (Sparta, Wis./Aquinas) finished with a run of 26:50.3 to take 90th.  Tyler Tanko (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) completed the scoring for UWSP with a 92nd-place finish at 26:52.6.
 
On the women's side, Emma Guenther (Monroe, Wis./Albany) was the first Pointer across the finish line at 23:48.8 to place 59th.  Catie Gage (Janesville, Wis./Parker) came in at 23:53.7 to finish 63rd.
 
Taylor Campbell (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) placed 75th with a time of 24:03.5.  Michelle Petkosek and Katie Schaefer (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard) took 81st and 84th with times of 24:09.2 and 24:13.7, respectively.
 
The Midwest Regional featured 252 finishers in the men's race and 257 on the women's side.
