The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams split up and competed at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio, and the Oshkosh Kollegetown Invite in Winneconne on Saturday.

In Ohio, the men's team place fourth out of 39 teams while the women came in 11th in the 32-team field.

Matt Stelmasek (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) and
Robert Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) paced UWSP with 16th and 18th-place finishes in times of 25:05.9 and 25:06.9, respectively.Â
Tyler Tanko (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) finished in 25:12.2, good for 23rd, and
Alex Egbert (Sparta, Wis./Aquinas) was 34th with a time of 25:24.2.Â
Axel Treinen (Wausau, Wis./East) completed the team scoring by placing 57th in a time of 25:52.8.

Catie Gage (Janesville, Wis./Parker) led the UWSP women with a 47th-place finish in Ohio, clocking in at 22:56.8.Â
Emma Guenther (Monroe, Wis./Albany) ran a time of 23:02.7 to place 56th.Â
Michelle Petkovsek (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) finished 76th with a time of 23:12.8 and
Taylor Campbell (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) placed 81st with a time of 23:17.5.Â
Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay,Wis./Big Foot) capped the scoring with a time of 23:21.0, good for 86th.

In Oshkosh, Josh Jumbeck led the Pointers with a time of 27:33.8, good for 194th out of the 450 finishers. On the women's side,
Makani Peters (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) was the fastest Pointer with a time of 25:10.3, good for 202nd out of 419 finishers.

The Pointers return to Winneconne next Friday (Oct. 25) for the 1:00 p.m. start at the Oshkosh Open.
