APPLETON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point cross country team finished in the middle of the pack at the Gene Davis Invite in Appleton on Saturday. The UWSP women's team placed fourth out of eight teams while the men placed fifth overall out of nine.

Makani Peters (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) was the first in for the UWSP women in 17th place with a time of 25:15.8. Alexis Anderson (Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest) was close behind in 22nd with a time of 25:25.8.
 
Sophomore Brianna Bralich (West Bend,Wis./West) and senior Amanda Cieslinski (West Allis, Wis./Central) finished in 28th  and 30th with times of 25:32.9 and 25:48.6, respectively.
 
On the men's team, Trey Hess (Wausau, Wis./East) was the first to cross the finish for the Pointers placing 15th with a time of 27:24.4.
 
Nick Lawson (Madison, Wis./West) and Josh Jumbeck placed in 26th and 28th running times of 27:45.0 and 27:46.6, respectively.  Josh Schaefer (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) finished 33rd with a time of 27:50.3.
 
The Pointers will split squads between the Oshkosh Kollegetown Invite in Winneconne and the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio on Saturday (Oct. 19) with both races beginning at 10:30 a.m.
