The Pointers begin the season at home on Sept. 1 versus John Carroll University.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m., the first of three non-conference games against teams that UWSP has not previously faced in program history.  JCU will come to town to open the season for the third-straight year against a WIAC team.

UWSP heads to Wabash on Sept. 8 before returning home on Sept. 15 to face Dakota State.  The 6:00 p.m. kickoff against the Trojans will be the 32nd annual Spud Bowl.

Following a bye week, UWSP opens league play at home against UW-Platteville on Sept. 29.  The 2:00 p.m. game is designated as this season's Pink Game.  The Pink Game has raised more than $50,000 in each of the last two seasons.

Back-to-back road games follow with trips to Eau Claire and La Crosse to begin October.  UWSP has won three-straight at UWEC dating back to 2011 and earned a 38-22 win its last trip to UWL in 2016.

The final home stand begins on Oct. 20 with Homecoming and a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against UW-Stout.  The following week, the Pointers host UW-Oshkosh to close out the home slate.

The regular season concludes with UWSP heading to UW-Whitewater and UW-River Falls on back-to-back Saturdays in November.

The Pointers return four All-WIAC honorable mention selections from last season in Juleyan Givens (Bolingbrook, Ill./Plainfield East), Steve Herra (Rockford, Ill./Boylan), Mitch Overbeck (Brussels, Wis./Southern Door) and Ryan Strick (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley).  UWSP also brings back leading rushers Zach Bosek (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich Community) and ShamaJ Williams (Racine, Wis./Lutheran), who were both solid performers in their freshmen campaigns.
