WAVERLY, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's cross country teams each picked up third-place team finishes at the Dan Huston Invite on Saturday.

Women's Results
Matt Stelmasek (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) paced the Pointers on the men's side, placing seventh with a time of 25:45.8. Four of his teammates each finished in under 27 minutes.
Alex Egbert (Sparta, WI/Aquinas) and
Tyler Tanko (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) finished in the top-20, 16th and 19th, respectively. Egbert's time was 26:24.3 with Tanko crossing at 26:31.1.
Jonas Bietz (Madison, Wis./Memorial) and
Benjamin Jurenec (Mequon, WI/Homestead) placed 21st and 26th with times of 26:35.0 and 26:53.4, respectively.
On the women's side,
Bailey Wolf (Oconto Falls, WI/Oconto Falls) and
Kara Hoier (New London, WI/New London) earned top-10 finishes individually. Wolf placed ninth with Hoier right behind in 10th. Their times were 23:33.6 and 23:35.5, respectively.
Senior
Emily Schlebecker (Mundelein, IL/Mundelein) was close behind in 14th with a time of 23:49.0.
Bailey Boudreau (Wausau, WI/East) and
Mada Laundrie (Appleton, Wis. /Kimberly) closed out the scoring with 30th and 32nd-place finishes. They both raced in under 25 minutes.
The Pointers head to Appleton next Saturday (Oct. 7) for the Lawrence Invitational.
