WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team finished fifth with Pointer men placing sixth at the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's) on Saturday. The women scored 139 and the men finished with a score of 133.

Bailey Wolf (Oconto Falls, WI/Oconto Falls) was the first Pointer to cross the finish line where she finished in 14th. Wolf ran a pace of 6:09 for a time of 22:54.5.
The duo of
Emily Schlebecker (Mundelein, IL/Mundelein) and
Kara Hoier (New London, WI/New London) finished in 34th and 35th place, respectively. The pair finished with times of 23:39.0 and 23:43.2.
Brittany Gagas (Rosholt, Wis. /Rosholt) finished in 41st for the women. She crossed the finish line with a time of 24:02.6.
Bailey Boudreau (Wausau, WI/East) finished her race with a time of 24:30.6. Boudreau's time earned her a 50th-place finish.
Georgia Harrison (West Bend, WI/East) finished in 60th place. Harrison ran a pace of 6:39, finishing with a time of 24:47.3.
Makani Peters (Stevens Point, Wis. /SPASH) finished in 65th place with a time of 25:00.9, a pace 6:43.
On the men's side,
Alex Egbert (Sparta, WI/Aquinas) opened up scoring for the men finishing in 13th place. Egbert ran a 5:10 pace where he finished with a time of 25:40.8.
Matt Stelmasek (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) finished in 20th place for the Pointers. Stelmasek ran his race with a 5:13 pace, finishing with a time of 25:53.0.
Tyler Tanko (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) crossed the finished line with a time of 26:19.4, good for 29th.
Robert Lutz (Greendale, WI/Greendale) followed with a time of 26:26.6, good for 31
st.
Jonas Bietz (Madison, Wis./Memorial) and
Benjamin Jurenec (Mequon, WI/Homestead) finished in 46th and 47th place, respectively. The pair finished with times of 26:49.8 and 26:51.7.
Noah Schulze (Land O'Lakes, WI/Northland Pines/) finished in 54th place with a time of 27:01.5.
The Pointers travel to Rock Island, Ill. for the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 11. The meet is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
