OSHKOSH, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point cross country teams won both the men's and women's team races at the Oshkosh Open in the final tune up before the WIAC Championships. The men scored a team score of 38, while the women scored a team score of 29.

Tyler Tanko (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) led the men with a second-place finish. He finished with a time of 27:23.86, a pace of 5:31.
Nick Lawson (Madison, WI/West) followed Tanko in seventh place. He finished with a time of 28:08.22.
Noah Schulze (Land O'Lakes, WI/Northland Pines/) and
Max Zeitler (Gillett, WI/Gillett) finished in ninth and 10th, respectively. The duo finished with times of 28:11.91 and 28:16.43.
Casey Olson (Madison, WI/West) finished in 14th place. The sophomore finished with a time of 28:26.16.
Colton Kaszuba (Neenah, Wis. /Neenah) crossed the finish line with a time of 28:41.36. His time earned him a place of 18th.
Trey Hess (Wausau, WI/East) placed 20th for the Pointers with a time of 28:53.02.
Makani Peters (Stevens Point, Wis. /SPASH) started the scoring for the Pointers, where she finished with a time of 25:44.50. Her time earned her a second-place finish.
Alexis Anderson (Wausau, Wis. /D.C. Everest) followed two spots behind Peters. Anderson finished in fourth with a time of 26:08.91.
Mada Laundrie (Appleton, Wis. /Kimberly) finished in sixth place with a time of 26:20.83.
Rachel Halbach (Kiel, Wis. /Kiel) finished in the top ten with a ninth-place finish. Halbach's time was 26:52.71.
Annika McGill (Hudson, WI/Hudson) finished with a time of 27:17.75. Her time earned her a 13th-place finish.
Sam Ritter (Prescott, Wis. /Prescott) and
Amanda Cieslinski (West Allis, WI/Central) finished in 15th and 17th. The pair earned times of 27:38.92 and 27:54.13.
The Pointers travel to Whitewater, Wis., for the WIAC Championships. The meet is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. on Oct. 28.
