Hockey’s Krueger Promoted to Associate Head Coach

STEVENS POINT, Wis.- UW-Stevens Point men's hockey coach Chris Brooks announced that Tyler Krueger has been promoted to the role of Associate Head Coach.

Krueger spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Pointers, working with the defense and the special teams units.

Before making the transition behind bench, Krueger played four seasons at UWSP, where in his senior season, he captained the 2013-14 National runner-up team.

"Tyler has played an integral part of our program over the past six years, both as a player and as a coach," said Brooks.   "He has been a big part of our program's recent success. His personal and professional growth has been very impressive and he has shown loyalty and determination to make an impact in our student-athletes."

UWSP begins its national championship defense on Oct. 28, playing host to Aurora at K. B. Willett Arena.
