MADISON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team had four players receive All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) honors, the league announced on Wednesday (Mar. 11).
Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.) was selected to the first team.
Sean Bunting (Phoenix, Ariz.),
Ryan Hintz (Rockford, Ill.) and
Alex Proctor (Allen, Texas) garnered honorable mention nods.
Owen Dean (Calgary, Alberta) was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Chmelevski grabs his second-consecutive first team accolade. He led the Pointers with 22 points this season. His 13 assists were also tops on the squad. He scored nine goals, second-most on the team. Chmelevski had season-long seven-game point streak from Nov. 11 to Dec. 13. Twice this season, he scored two goals, both against conference foes.
Bunting picks up his first conference award. He scored six goals and added nine assists on the season. His 15 points were tied for third on the team. He posted a season-high two assists at Saint Mary's on Nov. 8. He scored two goals in a win at Beloit on Feb. 7.
Hintz also nabs his first career honor from the league. He skated in 25 games on the blue line. He scored three goals and had six assists. Two of his goals came on the power play. Hintz had a point in back-to-back games three times this season. He posted a goal and an assist for a season-best two points in a win at UW-River Falls on Jan. 31.
Proctor earns his third-straight conference award and second-consecutive honorable mention nod. He won eight games with a 2.47 goals against average and a .910 saves percentage. He posted one shutout, a 17-save performance against Beloit on Dec. 6. In the WIAC Tournament first round win at UW-Superior, Proctor had a season-high 40 saves.
Dean was named to the all-sportsmanship team after skating in all 27 games this season. He scored three goals and was second on the team with 12 assists. His 15 points were tied for third on the team. He had a season-best two assists in three different games, twice against league opponents.
The Pointers finished the season with 12 wins and reached the WIAC Tournament semifinals.
