Pisarczyk Scores Twice in Penultimate Regular Season Game for the Pointers

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (11-11-2, 6-7-1) fell to visiting UW-Superior (12-10-2, 5-8-1) by a 4-2 final on Friday.
 
The visiting Yellowjackets jumped in front with goals at 12:03 and 16:52 of the first period, the latter on the power play.
 
Cody Pisarczyk (Airdria, Alberta) got his first goal of the game just 16 seconds later. Turner Richards (Minocqua, Wis.) and Alex Johnson (Calgary, Alberta) had assists as UWSP got within 2-1 heading to the second.
 
Superior made it 3-1 at 9:56 of the second period.
 
Pisarczyk netted his second of the game at 17:56 of the second period on the power play. Quinton Hill (Coquitlam, B.C.) and Chris Engelbert (Whitby, Ont.) had helpers.
 
The Yellowjackets scored the only goal of the third period, an empty-net goal at 19:43.
 
UWSP goaltender Ryan Maguire (Ridgefield, Conn.) made 22 saves. UW-Superior goaltender Jan Skorpik had 19 saves.
 
The Pointers and Yellowjackets close out regular-season play on Saturday (Feb. 14). Puck drop at K.B. Willett Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
