LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell to UW-La Crosse 0-9 and 0-9 University of Dubuque University this afternoon, Sept. 10 at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.

Coming off back-to-back wins last weekend, the Pointers (3-2) looked to continue their strong play against conference foe UW-Lac Crosse (4-0), but fell 0-9.

Pointers managed two wins against non-conference University of Dubuque, but fell 2-7 to the Spartans.

In singles play, No. 3 Frances Weiss (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) picked up a win for the Pointers winning the first set, dropping the second, but winning the tie-breaker 11-9.

No. 5 Jordan Tyjeski (Beaver Dam, WI/Beaver Dam) also won her match, defeating Naomi Amani in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.

The Pointers look to recharge for another conference matchup against UW-River Falls on Sept. 16. The match will be played at University Courts and is set for 12 p.m.
