GREENWOOD, Ind.-- Three members of the UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team,
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port),
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday (May 12).

Brosteau picked up her first-ever academic all-district nod. She played in 25 matches this season, earning an overall singles record of 16-9 and doubles record of 15-5.

Jantz earned her second-straight academic all-district accolade. This season, she played in all 26 matches for the Pointers, recording an overall singles record of 17-9 and doubles record of 18-7. Last week, Jantz was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Steier picked up her second-straight academic all-district nod. She played in 23 matches this season, earning an overall singles record of 17-5 and doubles record of 16-8.

The UWSP women's tennis team ended their season in the WIAC Championships semifinal game against UW-Whitewater on April 23. The Pointers ended with an overall record of 20-6 and a conference record of 4-2.

Student athletes selected must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be at least a sophomore and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count).Â
