STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell to UW-Oshkosh this evening in their final home match of the season.

The Pointers (4-7, 1-4 WIAC) managed one point in doubles play against the Titans (6-2, 2-2 WIAC). No. 3 doubles team, Frances Weiss (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) and Elizabeth Wilichowski (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) defeated Ashley Polena and Hannah Nauth 8-5.

No. 3 and No. 5 singles, Weiss and Jordan Tyjeski (Beaver Dam, WI/Beaver Dam) battled a closely played match, but ultimately lost in a 10 point match tie break. Weiss fell 6-2, 3-6 (8-10) and Tyjeski 7-5, 5-7 (4-10).

The Pointers finish the regular season as they travel to UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 14. The WIAC Conference Championships follow on Oct. 22-23 in Madison, Wis.
