EAU CLIARE, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a loss to UW-Eau Claire this evening in Eau Claire, Wis.

The Pointers (4-8) were unable to score a point against conference foe UW-Eau Claire (5-3) in their last match of the regular season. 

Senior Katelyn Asfeld (Waukesha, WI/Waukesha West) battled Blugold Sarah Henderson in singles play to a two set tie breaker, but was unable to come out with the win losing in three. 

No. 3 singles Frances Weiss (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) lost the first set 4-6, but battled back to win the second set 6-4 in return. In the tie breaker, Weiss also also lost in three.

With the regular season done, the Pointers will travel to Madison, Wis. for the WIAC Conference Championships for a two-day event starting on Sat., October 22.
